From S C Johnston

For Ralph W. Johnston
He fought in WWII – not on the front lines, but in a Westinghouse lab, where he hand-built components for the “new” RADAR technology that the US Navy used to stop the Japanese warships in the Pacific theater. While he received a commendation from the Office of Scientific Research and Development (OSRD), scientists behind the war effort rarely – if ever – have received the broad public recognition they deserve.
Thanks, Dad, from your family and a grateful nation.
